Justin Timberlake Tops Billboard Chart

Justin Timberlake has EVERY right to celebrate this week because the official numbers are in and he has sold 968,000 albums for his latest album 20/20 Experience. His latest album is the 19th highest debut in Nielsen SoundScan’s 22-year history. 

Majority of the sales came from digital sales on Apple’s iTunes and in second place was Target. With all of the promotions he did for it which include: Hosting SNL, spending an entire week with Jimmy Fallon on the Late Night Show and  having his on TV concert special “Target Presents: iHeartRadio Album Release Party”, it’s no wonder people got so excited for his latest album.

The Voice Season 4 Premiere: HUGE Hit!

 

The Voice Season 4 premiered last night and NBC rocked it on the ratings chart! The two hour premiere averaged a 4.7 ratings with adults between the ages of 18-49 and brought in a nice 13.4 million viewers. It is not surprise since this season we have two new judges, Shakira and Usher. 

Tonight, their will be another two-hour special of The Voice on NBC. Can’t wait to see more of Adam Levine and Blake Shelton’s bromance!

Cougar Fans Can Rejoice!

 

Cougar Town fans you can now be excited about an entire new season of Cougar Town getting renewed for a 5th season that will include 13 brand new episodes in 2014!

“Cougar Town has been everything we hoped it would be: a smart, big-hearted, laugh-out-loud comedy that shines a bright light on the TBS brand,” said TBS,TNT and TCM president and head of programming Michael Wright.

Who is excited to see more of Courtney Cox in the next year!? 

Weekend Box Office: Recap

 

This past weekend it was a battle for the number one spot between The Croods and Olympus Has Fallen, both movies with good casting.

The Croods, an animated film, opened to $44.7 million dollars and it features the voices of Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone and Nicolas Cage. On CinemaScore, the movie received a score of an A, but with the casting and storyline behind it, it is no shocker that it came in as the #1 film this past weekend.

After months of unsuccessful films, Gerard Butler finally scored a HUGE success with Olympus Has Fallen. Over the weekend, the film grossed $30.5 million dollars. The movie also features Morgan Freeman and Aaron Eckhart. I watched the film today, and I do have to say it was a spectacular film with a great plot that is to keep you surprised at all times.

“Girl Meets World” Production Underway & Old Cast Crashes Production!

With Girl Meets World  starting production yesterday, we can finally rejoice that one of the all time favorite 90’s shows is coming back!

With production being underway, the “Boy Meets World” cast members including Rider Strong (Shawn), William Daniels (Mr. Feeny), Will Friedle (Eric) and Maitland Ward Baxter (Rachel) stopped by to see the pilot on the first day of shooting. But let me reassure you, they did not make any cameos. Disney reps assured us that they were only there visiting.

Fall Out Boy Rocks Out at SXSW

 

SXSW, one of the biggest music festivals just concluded in Austin, Texas and Fall Out Boy was there to rock out in a secret show at the Vice Bar. This was their first live show since 2008 after taking a hiatus and now coming back to release their new fifth album called “Save Rock and Roll”

The band’s 40 minute set kept it pretty strict only to their old hits, even though they have new material that they could have performed. But the fans, whom are in their 20’s, loved the fact they could relive their college years.

 

Their new album is to hit stores on April 15, 2013.

I hope all of you are just as excited as I am about the second installment of Despicable Me! The new movie is set to come out on July 3.
Can not wait to see more of the adorable Minions and comedic relief they bring to the movie!

Hugh Jackman to Star in Paramounts New Film “Six Years”

We all have to admit that Hugh Jackman is an extremely talented actor and never lets us down with the movie roles he choses. Since his first movie role since the Oscar nominated and winner, Les Miserables, he will be starting in the adaptation of Harlan Coben’s upcoming novel, Six Years. 

The novel will be about Jake Fisher, a man who watched the love of his life, Natalie, marry another man. Six years pass and Jake comes across an obituary thinking it was the man Natalie married. But the widow is not Natalie. Coben’s past five novels have debuted at number 1 on the New York Times best-seller list. If that is any indication, then we can rest assured this will be one very amazing love story!

 

Oz the Great and Powerful Dominates Box Office Numbers!

It is no shocker that with a super talented cast of Mila Kunis, James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz and Zack Braff, that this movie would not bring in the big bucks! The movie has grossed $42.2 million dollars just here in the USA and it is on its way of becoming the top-grossing film of 2013! Globally, it has made an astounding $281.8 million.

Miley Cyrus gave her twitter followers a vague answer as to why she hasn’t been wearing her ring lately. But with all of the controversy as to why Liam has cancelled many events and returned to his motherland country of Australia with no return in sight, it is no wonder why people are still so intrigued!
